Remote Learning

At Dukesgate Academy we recognise the partnership between home and school is vital in helping children reach their full potential.

Remote learning consolidates and reinforces skills and understanding in literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas, and provides opportunities for parents/carers and children to work together. This can be used on any day that your child is unable to attend to school or when the school is closed, so that your child can continue learning.

Remote learning provides the children with the opportunity to practice skills taught in the class, develop independent learning skills and recognise that learning takes place beyond the classroom.

All children have log-ins to the following online platforms, with tasks set by the class teacher weekly:

Early reading and phonics
