Dukesgate Academy has its roots as a community primary school and the Academy is firmly committed to continuing in this tradition. Many of our governors have key roles within the Little Hulton Area and some of our families have been involved with the school for several generations.
The children visit residents of local sheltered housing to take Harvest Parcels or sing Christmas Carols at appropriate times of year. Like other local schools, we also visit St Paul’s Peel Church to take part in interactive workshops such as “Experience Harvest, Experience Christmas or Experience Easter”.
We work closely with other primary schools in the Little Hulton area and have good links with Salford City College.
We share sponsorship from Salford Academy Trust with another primary academy, Marlborough Road Academy, and two secondary academies, Albion and Irlam and Cadishead College. As we develop as an academy, we are looking forwards to strengthening these partnerships so that our children continue to experience an outstanding education.
