Remote Learning: Year 6
For children working remotely due to Covid restrictions, there will be remote learning tasks set daily. These will consist of learning tasks linked to the planned curriculum for the year group. There will be a blended approach of teacher modelling videos, live lessons and online learning activities which children will be expected to complete.
A SWAY link will be sent via text, with home learning activities. SEND children will be given appropriate resources.
For Year 6 children these may include:
- English tasks - reading and writing
- Oak Academy maths materials
- Online timetables practice using TT Rock Stars
- A Science task
- A wider curriculum task
- Spellings – Purple Mash
In Years 1-6, the class teacher will stream daily to the isolating pupil and be available to discuss their learning via Teams. An invite will be sent for the planned sessions. Any child who does not attend their live Team meetings will be contacted by a member of staff.
Our aim is that your child continues to access curriculum learning relevant for their class and will aim that the remote learning matches learning happening in school, where possible. Wider curriculum activities will be linked to the United Learning Curriculum.
